PRODUCTS Expodeck FAQs

ExpoDeck is a multi-level double deck structure designed for indoor use. ExpoDeck is extremely strong, light, safe, and fast setting. ExpoDeck can be reconfigured into multiple shapes and sizes as it incorporates common components with a standardized “grid”.

ExpoDeck primarily consists of extruded aluminum. ExpoDeck also employs steel, powder-coated portal columns for the main support. The ExpoDeck staircase is aluminum but is also powder-coated. Beams are aluminum with a clear anodized finish. The curbing and upper guardrail (FlexRail) are aluminum with a clear anodized finish and frosted acrylic in-fills. The staircase hand/guardrail (FlexRail) is aluminum with a clear anodized finish and frosted acrylic in-fills. Deck panels have an unfinished plywood top and a low-nap dark grey carpet on the bottom.

Yes, Highmark rents ExpoDeck in two ways: pre-built rental kits and custom rentals. Pre-built kits are on the shelf and finished, requiring no engineering or fabrication time, so they are aggressively priced. There are eight (8) rental kit sizes, ranging from 10’x12’ to 20’x20’. Custom rental involves using standard inventory to create a unique size or shape. For example, while there is a 16’x16’ rental kit, the Exhibit House may need a deck twice the size, such as 32’x16’. Highmark uses its extensive rental inventory to create a 32’x16’ deck with standard components and applies a rental price to the structure.

Highmark has pricing assembled for the pre-built rental kits only. Custom rental pricing can be acquired on a per project basis as the shape and size of the ExpoDeck is often different when offered via custom rental.

Yes, new purchase pricing can be acquired on a per project basis as the shape and size of the ExpoDeck is often different.

Yes, 3D models and design drawings are available for rental kits + other common sizes on the Highmark website. Custom rental projects and new purchase project models/designs are available per project.

ExpoDeck is predicated on a 4’x8’ grid system (the size of a standard deck panel). Standard beam sizes are 4’, 8’, 12’, 16’, and 20’. Any double deck design derivative of this grid can be accomplished with standard components; i.e. 12’x20’, 16’x16’, 32’x24’, 48’x64’, etc.

Yes, a third-party structural engineering reviews and stamps all Highmark ExpoDecks per project with an active load rating of 100 lbs. per square foot.

Included is the entire deck structure, as well as documentation, stamped drawings, packaging, hardware, and tools. From the ground floor: leveling feet, portal columns, t-slot columns with heads, beams, deck panels, curbing, upper guardrail, staircase, staircase hand/guardrail, all crating/skidding, stamped drawings, setup drawings, and all the necessary tools/hardware for installation and dismantling.

All columns and beams are packed on a rolling cart, staircases are packed with hand/guardrail on one custom pallet per staircase, upper guardrail is packed on a custom pallet, deck panels are packed on a reinforced pallet, all documentation + tools/hardware are packed in a hardware crate.

The Exhibitor Appointed Contractor (EAC) will install and dismantle Highmark ExpoDeck. Highmark can make recommendations to the client of trained EAC groups. For an additional cost, Highmark can also offer a supervisor to work with the client’s EAC.

PRODUCTS Max Multi-wall FAQs

MAX multi-wall is an aluminum frame/wall product available via rental or new purchase.

MAX is a 100% aluminum frame system offered with a clear anodized finish; however, MAX can also be powder-coated as a secondary operation.

MAX allows for standard hard-wall substrates like PVC or laminated boards (.25” and .125”) to be applied via Velcro directly to the frame. MAX also has the capability to accept fabric Silicon Edge Graphics (SEG) across multiple panels. MAX also can retain acrylic substrates like clear or frosted plexiglass. Finally, MAX can be outfitted to create a single or double-sided internally lit frame with SEG fabric exteriors (PRISM).

MAX has a “system channel” in the face of the main extrusion that accepts secondary extrusions for different applications. There is an SEG fabric slide-in extrusion, .125” acrylic capture slide-in extrusion, .25” acrylic capture slide-in extrusion, a Velcro adapter slide-in extrusion, a shelf standard slide-in extrusion, and a light box (PRISM) slide-in extrusion for SEG fabric and LED light bars, and much more.

Highmark clients are always free to procure their own fabric panels based on Highmark specifications, or Highmark can provide fabric panels through their partner network.

Standard Highmark rental frames are 23.5”, 47”, and 94” sizing x 2.8” deep. These sizes are consistent throughout the frames, doors, connectors, and retainers. However, MAX can be rented or purchased at any size required up to 48” wide and 120” tall.

Yes, 3D models and design drawings are available for the Highmark rental inventory. Custom projects are available on a per project basis.

Yes, the MAX Multi-wall system has several door options: standard doors, French doors, and barn doors.

Yes, MAX can be stacked up to 20’ if properly returned.

Yes, by virtue of the product design, MAX frames can be installed vertically or horizontally.

MAX employs the tool-less shared pin connector system to connect frames and connectors.

MAX can be shipped in a standing wall crate with in-fills applied or palletized on a pallet with the in-fills removed. A standing wall crate can house up to 11 full-sized MAX frames/doors, and a wall pallet can accommodate up to 16 full-sized MAX frames/doors.

MAX is available for both new purchase and rental to Exhibit Builders/Designers and Event Agencies.

Yes, a whole line of parts/components are available for purchase to supplement existing MAX inventories.

29 Lbs. per 47”x94” frame.

Among other factors, MAX is an assembled wall frame, allowing it to be quickly changed in size. Other wall systems are glued or welded, which doesn’t allow for the frame to be modified. MAX is also design-neutral, with no extra holes, making it an elegant, more architectural solution for any wall design—especially when exposed through the use of acrylic in-fills.

PRODUCTS Supermax FAQs

Supermax is a post and beam extrusion designed for quick setting large format structures like towers, canopies, or arches. The extrusion is 5.6”x5.6”x up to 24’ and offers a high strength-to-weight ratio.
